The Utility Trend: Starring Boilersuits

I love jumpsuits, especially boilersuits. In my opinion the utility trend is never really out of season, as many of the colors and silhouettes are already wardrobe staples for many people. However, the military inspired trend is definitely back in full force this season. From belt strap and cargo pants, utilitarian style bags, waist belts, and khaki, green, and brown silhouette styles; almost every designer to fast fashions retailers have fantastic pieces to wear this season. Checkout some of my fav designers 2019 RTW runways looks filled with military inspired trends from belt bags seen at Fendi (which I’m absolutely obsessed with), co-ord looks at Sies Marjan, to boilersuits seen at Stella McCartney, Dries Van Noten, and many more.

I kept my look pretty simple with no accessories. I styled my Topshop jumpsuit with a pair of Manolo Blahnik brown suede booties I got from a sample sale a few years ago. I love boliersuits because it’s a statement piece and not much is needed to make the look pop. Boilersuits are so easy and comfortable to wear; and can be paired with sneakers or heels, which makes for a perfect day to night look. There are so many great affordable options on the market right now, I may be grabbing a few different looks myself. Are you feeling the boilersuit or will you pass on this trend?
